OUR VALUES
education
Our Young Theaterworks (YT) program is currently celebrating 25+ years of serving highest-risk youth in Greater Los Angeles schools, primarily in East L.A. and Pasadena Continuation/Options high schools. Our company’s productions inform and inspire our successful YT program, which improves student literacy practice, communication, and collaboration skills. We believe in the power of arts to connect youth to local and community histories.
Collaboration
In partnership with performing arts centers, community-based arts organizations, and educational institutions, we have collaborated with various leading artists across different artistic disciplines. Through our original theaterworks, we explore the human spiritual condition to unearth and illuminate cultural histories of the Southwest and of Latin America.

Since our inception, we have created innovative artistic work through a collaborative process that reflects the diverse voices of Greater Los Angeles. Through experimental uses of music, media, and other artistic forms, our critically acclaimed productions explore cultural identity, authenticity, and new perspectives on history and the human condition.
